He is fluent in all styles of music including Jazz, Blues, Rock, Latin, Gospel, and R&B/Funk. Rich is not only a dynamic instrumentalist, he is also a vocalist as well as a composer. His compositions have been featured on NPR Radio and American Routes & Jazz Night in America.

He has performed and recorded with some of the greats in the music industry including Grover Washington Jr, Lenny White, George Duke, Billy Paul, Georgie Young, and bassist Charles Fambrough.
